I’ve had mine for about 7 years, and its definitely become one of my favorite kitchen “appliances”. These days I use it mostly for making small batches of nut butter (especially walnut butter), breaking down whole grains into “grits” for hot cereal, crushing/blending fresh spices for certain recipes, or making ultra-fine coffee grounds for Turkish-style coffee. In my opinion its a great investment and tool for anyone who is serious about embracing traditional/primitive food preparation techniques.
I picked mine up from importfood.com. I got the 9″ one, which is the largest (and heaviest!) they sell.
